This is my blog to share my passion of (mostly) mechanical watches. I am open to discussion and suggestion, so feel free to contact me.

Fortis Official Cosmonauts Chronograph
Here is my most loved Fortis. This Fortis was originally issued only for those who got accepted at Russian Space Program (real cosmonaut). That is why I was unable to find out its origin and production year (possibly mid 90s)
Everything about this watch seemed perfect to me:
Perfect diameter 38mm for my 6.5" wrist
Perfect black matte dial, highly legible
Perfect painted arabic indexes and hands, highly legible
Perfect dual AR coating
Perfect Lemania 5100 movt, which is (possibly) the toughest, most shock-proof, and RARE.
But not so perfect:
Sandblast finish, it's a bitch to maintain and inability to get polished when scratched.
Note: Orange painted hands are chronograph hands!!!
Do you know that Lemania 5100 can withstand acceleration/deceleration in excess of 7G without enormous accuracy loss? That's why it used to be the chronograph movement of choice for watch manufacturers who supplied to the military, such as SINN, FORTIS, TUTIMA.
