Many years ago I was so obsessed with Seiko vintage chronographs that I used to vow myself I would collect all variants of Seiko auto chrono caliber 6138 and 6139.
Some believed that caliber 6139 is the first automatic column-wheel chronographs released in the market. Some other believed it was the El-Primero. I really couldn't care less. I love auto chronographs, that's all that matters!!!
During my encounters with Seiko cal 6138 and 6139, I was amazed by it's durability, considering they're auto chrono with more moving parts compared to non-chrono movements. However there is one common problem from these vintage auto chrono: STICKY CHRONO PUSHER(S)
I've sold all my 6139 dan 6138 collections. Unfortunately I did not document (photograph) some of my collections before selling them. Please pardon the old and poor picture quality.
...and some other 6138 and 6139 without any photographs, including Tokei Zara, Bullhead, UFO, etc...
